Chris Davitt Named Nursery President

Laytonsville, MD - Craig Ruppert, founder and majority owner of Ruppert Nurseries, announces the promotion of Christopher E. Davitt to company president and chief operating officer.

Ruppert explains, "This title is commensurate with Chris' role in our tree-growing and landscape operations. He has been intimately involved in the planning, execution, and success of the business for the past four years, and prior to that, for the past seventeen years at Ruppert Landscape Company. There is no one that knows the business or our customers better than Chris or that has more experience in all facets of the industry. We've been working together as a team for over twenty years and I look forward to continuing this successful relationship and to assisting Chris as he takes Ruppert Nurseries to the next level." Davitt will focus on, and manage, the overall operations of the company as it seeks to expand both its tree-growing and landscape installation operations. Craig Ruppert will serve as CEO, assisting in the strategic planning process and working with Chris to ensure that customer service and employee development goals are achieved.

Ruppert Nurseries, Inc. is a 300-acre wholesale nursery in Montgomery County which provides commercial and high-end residential landscape installation and large tree-transplanting services.
