Award Recipients Honored

Laytonsville, MD – Eleven Ruppert Nurseries employees were honored when the company presented its annual awards at a recent corporate function.

“These awards give us a chance to recognize individuals in our company who work extremely hard and use their strengths and talents for the betterment of our company,” said President Chris Davitt. “These eleven individuals represent the best of the best and have excelled in their individual positions, overcoming daily obstacles with positive outcomes.”

Below are the descriptions and recipients of each award:

Achievement Award

This award is considered the company’s top honor and is given to the employee who has demonstrated outstanding job execution and high-quality results throughout the year. John Harich (business development manager) has been with Ruppert for two and half years and was recognized for his hard work and his success in the area of business development. Harich resides in Frederick, Md.

Clyde Vadner Merit Award

This award is presented to the individual who has demonstrated consistent hard work and dedication leading to exceptional contributions. Bob Jones (director of landscape installation), a 10-year Ruppert employee from Baltimore, Md., was recognized for leading the landscape installation division to its most successful year ever and in particular, setting high standards in the area of customer satisfaction and employee development.

Impact Award

This award goes to the employee whose outstanding dedication and contributions have made a positive impact on their individual branch.

There were seven recipients of this award including:

Mike Lubitz (assistant controller), a one-year Ruppert employee from Mt. Airy , Md. , received the honor for corporate

Mike Ward (estimator and business development manager), a 10-year Ruppert employee from Gainesville , Ga. , received the honor for the Georgia Landscape Installation branch

Brian Dyer (field manager), a one-year Ruppert employee from Lawrenceville , Ga. , received the honor for the Georgia Landscape Management branch

Jim Tuzzolino (production manager), a one-y ear Ruppert employee from Deale, Md. received the honor for the Maryland Landscape Installation branch

Jack Jones (area manager), a one-year Ruppert employee from Frederick , Md. , received the honor for the Maryland Landscape Management branch

Garth Jorgensen (business development manager), a four-year Ruppert employee from Middletown , De., received the honor for the Pennsylvania Landscape Management branch.

Adam Tankersley (tree sales and inventory management), a six-year Ruppert employee from Monrovia , Md. , received the honor for the Tree-Growing Division

Shaun Snodgrass (production manager), a seven-year Ruppert employee from Deale, Md. , received the honor for the Virginia Landscape Installation branch

Justin Hartley (area manager), a one-year Ruppert employee from Remington , Va. , received the honor for the Virginia Landscape Management branch

Ruppert Nurseries, Inc. provides commercial landscape installation and landscape management services in the mid-Atlantic and Atlanta regions and is also a 475-acre wholesale tree nursery in Montgomery County , MD.
