Jones, a Frederick, Md. resident, brings over seven years of industry experience including positions as a sales manager, production manager and project manager. Jones honed his very valuable training and people development skills while serving nine years in the U.S. Marine Corp with increasing levels of responsibility which included drill instructor, senior drill instructor and scheduling chief.

Since beginning his career with Ruppert in March of 2005, Jones has held the position of area manager. In that role he was responsible for the sale, renewal and production of the branch’s landscape management work as well as estimating, design, customer satisfaction and personnel training and development.  As branch manager, he will oversee all day-to-day operations, including marketing, customer service, quality control and people development.

In addition to its branch offices in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Virginia, Ruppert has been serving the Maryland and D.C. markets from its Laytonsville, Md. branch. Ruppert serviced the Washington, D.C. and Prince Georges County markets since 1993 from its previous Forestville branch and worked on landscape projects such as the Pennsylvania Avenue Development, National Catholic Conference of Bishops and portions of the National Zoo.

“The addition of Jack Jones as branch manager of our Forestville branch brings us closer to many of our key customers in the Prince Georges County and Washington D.C. markets and therefore strengthens our ability to service these customers,” said President Chris Davitt. “He is a strong leader and we are excited about giving him the opportunity to play an even bigger role here at Ruppert Nurseries.”
