Two Employees Promoted to Key Positions

in Ruppert’s Atlanta Branch

Laytonsville, MD – Ruppert Nurseries is pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Innis to Operations Manager and Slade Salmon to Production Manager in our Georgia Landscape Installation Branch.

Innis, a Lawrenceville, Ga., resident, began with the company in 1993 as a Foreman on the I-78/85 Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) project. In 1998, he was promoted to Production Manager and has served in that capacity working on notable jobs such as the Alltell Corporation campus, Tributary and World of Coke until his recent promotion to Operations Manager. In his new role, he will oversee all production aspects of the Georgia Landscape Installation branch including all field operations, personnel, vehicles and equipment, safety, subcontracts, direct cost accounts and selected overhead expenses.

Salmon, a Cumming, Ga., resident, began with the company in March of 2006 as Foreman and managed one of the largest projects in the branch’s history—The Avenues at Webb Gin. Throughout his 17 year landscape career, Salmon has performed every aspect of the landscape business from field production to customer service. In his new position as Production Manager, he will be responsible for all aspects of the installation of landscape projects including field personnel management, subcontractor management, project supervision, communication with customers and project architects and quality control.

In addition to its branch offices in Laytonsville, Md., Gainesville, Va., and Philadelphia, Pa., Ruppert re-entered the Atlanta market in January of 2004 by opening a landscape installation branch there (and subsequent landscape management branch in 2005). Ruppert served the Atlanta area from 1992 until its sale in 1998 and worked on some of Atlanta’s most prestigious projects.

“Since our return to the Atlanta market, we have been fortunate to be included in a variety of projects with increasingly challenging scopes,” said Patrick Luzier, Georgia Landscape Installation branch manager. “Both Mark Innis and Slade Salmon have been instrumental in the growth of our branch and the successes that we’ve achieved to date and they have proved that they are ready to move to that next job level.”

Ruppert Nurseries, Inc. provides commercial landscape installation and landscape management services in the mid-Atlantic and Atlanta regions and is also a 475-acre wholesale tree nursery in Montgomery County, Md.
